Discipline is an ever increasing problem in modern schools. Some people think that discipline should be the responsibility of teachers, while others think that this is the role of parents. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.

Discipline
is a much-needed requirement to have in
this
modern age, yet many schools find
this
as an ever-increasing problem. Some people argue that
discipline
is something that needs to be established at
home
, whilst others argue that it should be set in
school
. In
this
essay, we shall discuss both sides of
this
coin.
First
and foremost, let us look into the concept of
discipline
being established at
home
.
Parents
play an important role, in creating a sense of right and wrong in their
children
, which is considered as the fundamentally vital role of the
parents
. They are responsible to educate their
children
on the proper etiquette that needs to be followed in society.
This
serves them, not only at a young age but
also
for the later years in life.
In addition
, the
discipline
being taught helps them to focus on what is important and thereby creates a firm building block on which they can build up their education qualification.
However
, the problem with
discipline
at
home
, is that
children
only learn how to behave with their siblings. A
school
environment is a different ball game. Because in a
school
, there are many
children
from different backgrounds having their own sets of beliefs, and there is a very good chance that confrontations may arise because of
this
.
This
is where the teacher plays a pivotal role because they have to get involved and get both parties to communicate and work together.
This
is why
discipline
in schools seems to be an ever-increasing problem, because of the number of students available per class, and the proximity they are to each other. In conclusion, I feel both
parents
and teachers have an equal responsibility to
discipline
children
. Whilst, it is the
parents
' responsibility to
discipline
them at
home
,
home
discipline
works more like a dry run of sorts because
school
life provides ample opportunities to put what is learned into practice, and in case it fails the teacher must be there on hand to correct the students.
