During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants. Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter -remind him when and where you met -tell him what kind of job you are interested in -say why you think you would be suitable for the job

Dear Mr Jan, Hope your journey was enjoyable. I am writing with reference to our casual chat during our journey together from Canada to India. As discussed, I am writing to enquire about some possible jobs in one of your restaurants. I would like to express my interest in the position of Manager as I have recently graduated from the University of Canada with a specialization in Hotel Management. I have completed my undergraduate degree with a specialization in cooking.
However
, I have completed my internship with the hotel Hayat in Canada. I will surely be the best fit for
such
a position as I believe my internship experience will be of great help to accomplish all the tasks for your restaurant. I am
also
open to the position of a chef as I have to collect funds for the execution of my future plan to start my own restaurant. I would be grateful if you could help in offering me a job. I have attached my resume in which I have included all my achievements. My contact number is 9952952892. Awaiting a positive response. Thank you. Yours sincerely, Subashree Krishnan.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
