Some people suggest that children do not understand the world of work and schools should make all teenager spend a short time working as well as studying acamedemic subjects. To what extent do you agree?

It is argued that many people feel teenagers should work
in addition
to studying their academic subjects.
Although
both sides share pros and cons regarding the motion, I disagree with the idea. In the course of
this
essay, I will substantiate my reasoning for
this
. My
first
reason for
this
is that students should not have to worry about the complexities of the world at
such
young ages. Schools should be more concerned about introducing various steams of opportunities for their pupils mainly in the form of different subjects so that they can find out their interests and pursue them.
This
will help to encourage the youth to make their own decisions about their futures allowing them to make their mark on the world.
This
way at the time of graduation they will be able to contribute effectively to their countries economy. The
second
reason for my view is that, if it the work-life of youngsters is predetermined it may discourage them from attending school as they will be more inclined to look for employment early on to get a head start.
Although
this
sounds appealing from a corporate perspective, from the global view it will have devastating effects. For one, an ample amount of the labour force will be limited to a certain profession.
This
will result in a country having to employ skilled labour from abroad to meet their requirements. In conclusion, I disagree with the notion that schools should provide time for their youth to work rather than focusing on their academics. In my opinion, academics is the only way to allow the youth to grow and exceed their limits. If we let them achieve
this
,
then
the nation will be the one to reap the rewards.
