Nowadays, a lot of charities and organizations have to publicize their activities by setting up a number of special days, like National Children’s Day, for encouraging good care of children and National Non-smoking Day for encouraging person to pay more attention to health. Why do these organizations take these activities, and what will the effect be?

In
this
modern age, many non-profit organizations have started communicating their activities and introducing special occasions in order to raise awareness on certain topics,
such
as childcare and human wellbeing.
This
essay will try to identify a factor contributing to
this
action
and
also
explain some effects that may emerge from
this
practice.
To begin
with, it should be acknowledged that showing an organization project could attract attention from a wider audience on a specific topic. In fact, introducing special occasions like National Non-smoking Day would inform people about the downside and detrimental effects of cigarettes including a higher risk of cancer and respiratory disease due to toxic ingredients.
Similarly
, having National Children’s Day could inform the public on the issues surrounding the juveniles
such
as children labour and exploitation, and malnutrition. The movement brings some impacts towards the changing of public and government perspectives.
Firstly
, the
action
would encourage the government to take an initiative on the problems.
For example
, they will issue a regulation about child protection from illegal labour and put emphasis on children’s rights and freedom.
Secondly
, more people would conscious of a certain issue and motivate them to take individual
action
,
for instance
, after understanding the bad impact of smoking they will forgo the harmful habit and move to a healthier lifestyle. In a way of conclusion, introducing a special event aims to spread awareness on certain issues with the end goal to encourage both official authority and individuals to take any
action
about it. In my opinion,
this
kind of movement should be continued to ensure people become fully conscious of the public problem.
