Every year several languages die out. Some people think that this is not important because life will be easier if there are fewer languages in the world. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Language
preservation is becoming increasingly important in many nations. According to some
people
, it would be much easier for everyone if humanity had only one
language
. In
this
essay, we will look into some aspects of
language
preservation and explain its importance. There are more than a thousand
languages
that are alive today. These
languages
represent their unique structure, unique sounds and meanings. Every single
language
is a part of a unique culture that shapes
people
and the environment around it. It is possible to say that
language
is directly related to human relations, traditions, customs and even cuisine. If a
language
is forgotten, all these along with history and more will be forgotten with it.
Moreover
, these
languages
are taught by parents in small communities. New members of those communities keep the
language
alive by teaching it to their children as their parents did. Some
languages
may possibly become forgotten as each person leaves the community or one less speaker for that
language
.
That is
why we think
language
preservation is important.
On the other hand
, others believe that having a few
languages
leads to a more convenient life. The disappearance of
language
was due to globalization which has forced
people
to communicate in an international
language
. By speaking a couple of
languages
,
such
as English, Chinese and Spanish, you can communicate with billions of
people
throughout the world. Some
people
have an opinion that the extinction of the
language
is not a serious threat to the world because most of them that die out are minor
languages
. In conclusion, it seems to me that
although
commonly spoken
languages
may make life more convenient, the diversity of
languages
represents the world civilization and they should be passed to the
further
generation.
