Government investment in the arts, such as music and theatre, is a waste of money. Governments must invest this money in public services instead. Do you agree or disagree?

It is commonly believed that government
funds
allocated to
arts
subjects like theatre and music are less important than
funds
invested in public services. While allocating
funds
to the public is important, I strongly believe that
arts
play a vital role in preserving culture and promoting unity among the
people
. Each
country
and region has its music and theatre that represents its culture and identity.
For instance
, most young
people
are interested in technology and gadgets and spend less time to know about their cultural
history
. These subjects help in passing down the knowledge and story of the past and connection to their ancestors.
Additionally
, governments should grant
funds
for
arts
and
history
also
to encourage the youth to opt for
this
stream and follow their passion, and not just go for popular jobs. Another reason to invest in artistic areas is to promote unity and oneness in the
country
.
People
who listen to similar songs and are aware of their
history
tend to relate to one another more rather than those who don't. Singing folk songs at festivals and special occasions and celebrating together as a community allows us to feel closer to one another in the current fast-moving lifestyle and build a stronger community. To conclude, all governments need to invest to maintain their cultural richness and bring together the
people
of their
country
. I believe the
arts
help
people
not get overwhelmed by modern technology and busy lifestyles and help preserve the connection with the
country
, its
people
, and
history
.
