The issue of what
students
should do upon completion of secondary school has been a hotly-debated topic. Some individuals are for the idea that middle-level
students
should get involved in adventures or get some employment prior to joining various varsities.
This
move has both merits and demerits. There are several benefits for allowing
students
to travel or get busy doing certain jobs.
Firstly
,they gain experience on how to go about certain activities skillfully.Because of
this
their confidence and knowledge are improved.
Secondly
,
this
prior exposure provides a platform for networking and meeting influential people who will offer a hand on job offers after completion of their university levels.
For example
,an annual report given by the labour society indicates that 90% of
students
who were exposed to work experience were productive.
Thus
,before joining higher-level institutions
students
acquire skills and
also
provide an avenue for networking for future possible job offers.
On the other hand
,
students
who get involved in unnecessary travelling or offered jobs are half baked because they still do not have enough knowledge and expertise to perform certain activities.
Such
as experiences that are gained during the internship.
Moreover
,education is relevant in building self-esteem,if they miss the varsity education meaning they will have not acquired enough confidence to be effective in various fields.
For example
,communication skills are only taught at the university level.
Therefore
,some of the cons of not attending university will result in insufficient knowledge and a lack of individual power. To sum up,
although
,attaining a degree is significant in the current society.
However
,adventuring or getting
students
to do certain manual work is much better, since they will not only gain experience but
also
will put them at a better place for securing jobs in the near future upon completion of tertiary level education,
