Dear Sir I am Navin Singh, a student of Delhi University.
This
letter is in regards to your fabulous performance at the 'Rockstar' show hosted by IIT
last
week. Please consider
this
letter as a token of appreciation. The environment of the show was infused with enthusiasm and positive vibes as your stage show commenced. All the songs which you sang were melodious and enchanting.
However
, my favourite was the
last
music track of the day which was dedicated to parents, especially mothers'. As it reminded me of my childhood cherished memories. Singing is my passion.
Besides
, studies I am fond of learning music. As a part of my weekly routine, I practise it thrice a week.
Furthermore
, with a group of my friends, every weekend evening we perform at a local cafe. I intend on honing
this
skill
further
. Your slight attention in answering my queries every fortnight through emails/audio/calls could be extremely helpful in shaping my skills. Kindly let me know if it will be possible with your busy schedule to impart knowledge and share your experience. Looking forward to starting an exciting learning journey under your guidance. Yours Sincerely Navin

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
