I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the recent purchase made in your store. I noticed the
item
was damaged immediately after the furniture was delivered.
The detail of the purchase as follows. I bought the item
at the Colombo store on 15th Dec 2021. The description of the item
is a red color
with a two-seater sofa. The payment was made in cash for the furniture ad delivery. I checked the showcased pieced at the store. It was perfect but not the delivered one.

Furthermore
, mentioning the damage in detail, the right side of two sofa legs are wrecked. I believe it cannot be repaired. It would have been broken during transportation.
Finally
, I am requesting to replace the furniture in five days. Whereas we are planning for a family gathering which will be in seven days. You can collect the damaged stuff from my home address. Also
, I am informed that the return or replacement policy can be acceptable within six weeks from the billing date.
Since I am a usual customer I appreciate your quick response to my letter and replace the item
on time.Submitted by mailtoritika.chandwani on

The Greeting
Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.
Always start an informal letter in the ways:
- Dear + name
- Hi / Hello + name
‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.
For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:
- Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
- Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
