Dear Jake and Sandra,
I am writing
this
letter with regards to the advertisement in the local newspaper about the chance to teach Portuguese to your children for one year.
I strongly believe I would be a great candidate, due to my experience teaching children different subjects, including Portuguese, in the main school of the city for one year and a half. Besides
I am in the last
year of the Languages and Pedagogy course at the University of Sidney and I chose it because it is my passion to be able to help people to learn new languages in a fun way.
Although
the daily classes normally last
about 2 hours, I would be available for 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday and I do not mind taking care of them, taking them to the park and preparing them a snack. I also
love animals, so if you have any, it would be a pleasure to give them a walk.
For me, it is a really good opportunity as it counts for my internship hours, which are necessary to graduate. In addition
, my parents had a fire last
month and I would love to be able to help them with the money to fix the damage.

Linking words are very important in your essay.
To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.
Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.
In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.
