The given bar chart illustrates the

 of both genders who were the owners of different kinds of
qualifications
 in New Zealand in 2005. Overall, more males held the trade certificate than females with the biggest difference in
percentage

, the men group had an increasing trend to receive the higher
qualifications
, while there was a decreasing one in the women group. According to the males, the vast majority of the
percentage
 of qualification was nearly 90% in the trade certificate category, followed by the masters or PhD
qualifications
, at around 75% of them. The least

 appeared with approximately 40% in diploma type. In females, the smallest proportion was just over 10% in trade certificate qualification.
Although
 60% of women in 2005 had the diploma, they had a downward trend to receive the higher
qualifications
 which were not the same as the men’s tendency. Especially in masters or PhD ones, they held only around one-fifth of the number of people in their group.
