weekend when we played in the regional finals. I wonder how are you feeling since I heard you have seriously injured your leg. The regional finals game was great. We barely managed to win the game by three points, with a

shot in the end. It was very hot in the gym since the AC unit malfunctioned at the start of the

second

half. Everyone was sweaty and drinking tons of water, including the crowd on the stands. It was definitively one of the most memorable games of

this

season. Our team started a bit slow in the beginning but picked up the pace in the

second

half. The

last

couple of minutes were nerve-wracking, because of the many defensive mistakes we've made. I had a gut feeling we are going to lose, but luckily I was wrong. I hope you will recover soon, and retake your centre position for the

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
