The given line graph illustrates the rates of smoking in some-land between men and
women
 from 1960 to 2000. Overall, it can be seen that the smoke rate of men indicated a downward trend, while that of the
women
 increased throughout the period. According to the graph, starting in 1960, the men had the highest amount of smoking rates, about 600 persons,higher than that of the
women
 by around two and a half times.
This
 figure dropped slightly to just under 600 persons two years later.
On the contrary
, the
women
 represented the least amount in 1960, accounting for almost 100 persons, their figure rose moderately to just under 200
people
 in 1970.
Furthermore
, between 1975 and 1980, while the number of boys decrease steadily to just over 400
people
, the number of girls jumped dramatically, reached its peak at about over 300
people
 and it stay fatted off over the period.
However
, in the remaining period, there is a downward trend in the rates of both groups, accounting for approximately 250
people
 for boys and exactly 200
people
 for girls.
