To begin

with, social media bring people from all over the world together a lot faster than it used to be. Discussing various subjects with people from the other side of Earth became a simple task to do thanks to the Internet. Engineers made that change possible a couple of decades ago. To illustrate, I am living in Australia, and, with my family still residing in France, I can speak with them anytime I want, which makes it practical for us to share details from our lives. Without that communication channel, I could not live that far away from home.

In addition

to the above, thanks to social media, we can

video chat with our friends. Making a call more interactive can bring us closer to the person in front of the smartphone.
