Saturday. The result was 3-0: we couldn’t find a good strategy to use on the soccer field. Our formation was not as tactical as we’d like it to be. The other team had a better plan of action, and that’s why they managed to beat us. Because of that, the team is training harder every day after school. Even though everyone is trying their best to perform well, it’s still not the same without you. It was raining a lot and it's not an excuse, but wet fields are always a serious problem for playing soccer. Two of our players fell during the game, and after that, everything failed. When Julio slipped on the field, he injured his ankle.

was bad because he’s our star striker. At that point, everybody was psychologically affected. I'm really upset and worried about

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
