The death penalty is still practised in some parts of the world. It is believed, that it is the best way to reduce serious
crime
. If killing criminals really diminish cases of murder are discretionary. In some states of the United States of America and some other countries, serial killers still can get a deadly injection. Indeed, some governments are
also
 using the classical old electric chair, or they will hang them.
Firstly

this
 method might be used to scare criminals off to kill somebody. But I guess if a guy really wants to murder someone, nothing will stop him, not even the possibility to die for that
crime
. Because all people who planing a
crime
 believe they will never get caught. In my opinion, the death penalty is not the best way to reduce serious
crime
.
On the other hand
, we have to ask ourselves if a serial killer really deserves to live. But when the government kills criminals, it doesn't make them better than the killer itself.
