, I am writing to apply for a job working abroad. I would be particularly interested in working in the service sector. I have experience managing a bar and have spent a significant number of years employed by hotels, theme parks and other tourist attractions. I have developed excellent knowledge of working practices within the leisure industry and have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to be disciplined, organised, punctual and hard-working. I am especially keen to find employment in the Spanish-speaking world. I have a Degree in Spanish and South American Studies and am a fluent speaker of the language. Obviously,

. The prospect of living and working abroad fills me with excitement and anticipation. I love the idea of experiencing new ways of doing things and I want to broaden my horizons and gain a deeper understanding of different cultures. Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
