The system used for rubbish / garbage collection in your local area is not working properly. This is causing problems for you and your neibhours. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter describe how the rubbish collection system is not working properly explain how this is affecting you and your neigbours suggest what should be done about the problems
Dear Sir / Madam,
My name is Nancy, who lives in the
Victoria
area
for over a decade. I am glad to live in Victoria
as the environment and neighbours are excellent, compare with others. However
, I am writing a letter to you to complain about the rubbish collection system is not working properly for the last
2 months.
On 01 Apr 2011, Victoria
citizens noticed that the council
has launched a new recycling policy for used paper and plastic bottles that need to be put into different colour boxes for weekly collection. We found that that council
has not provided sufficient colour boxes for separate recycle items. In addition
, workers did not come to the Victoria
area
to collect recycling boxes on schedule. On 30 Apr 2011, there was a superstorm and rain in the Victoria
area
, recycled papers and plastic bottles were all over the place.
Victoria
citizens need to clean up the mess on 01 May 2011 early morning, we want to have tidy roads that will not affect our daily life as we need to go to work and children need to go to school. If not, all rubbish was covered on the streets and roads that cannot walk.
I would like to draw your attention that we understand the council
introduced the new recycling policy with good intention to have a better quality of life for Victoria
citizens. We suggest that the council
need to hire more workers that can make the collection schedule on time. In addition
, we wish you might consider providing a fixed station, which can put all recycle items in the specified area
. We believe that it will make the new recycling policy succeed.
Thank you for your understanding of our concern!
Thanks & regards,
