your local council is considering closing a sports and laser centre that it runs in order to save money. write a letter to the council: - give details of have you and your friends or family use the centre - explain why the sports and laser centre is important for the local community - describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes.
Dear sir/madam,
I feel regret after hearing
this
shocking news from the council that is
you are going to close a sports and leisure centres, which are closed to our society.
I am letting you know that this
centre
is being used by me, my friends and also
my families too. Mostly, young children are using this
free facility for playing games and older people are using it for walking and running. In addition
, the local community has only this
nearest leisure centre
to do activities and spend spare time there, so it is very important to us to keep here as in the same position. If you close it then
we have no other free facility to do an activity.
I think it will be affected to local citizens if you close the centre
. Firstly
, in our ,city there is one more free sports ground but it is too far from our society about 20 to 25 miles. As a result
, adults will reach there in their own vehicles but youngsters will not because their parents not allow them to go there.
I hope you understand the situation we will face if you move or close the centre
so please I request you do not close it.
Yours faithfully,
