. Overall, the amount of

 and lamb used every week dramatically declined during the period shown, apart from
chicken
. In 1979,
beef
 was by far the most popular of these foods, with about 220

 consumed by a person weekly. In the same year, the figures for
chicken
 and meat consumption were similar, at around 140

 and 150

 respectively. The intake of fish was lowest, at around 60

 per week. Ten

 later,
chicken
 overtook
beef
 as the most popular choice. From 1994 to 2002, the consumption of

 rose gradually and reached the peak of 250

 and lamb were similar, with declines during the
