Hi Glen, How are you? It's been so long since we were able to catch up. I am selling my dining table and I was wondering if you want to buy it. I don't know if you knew but I will be relocating to Glenstone in the

two weeks to work for Glade for a year. So now, I am selling all my furniture and I will use the money to settle down there comfortably. I remembered you like
this
table, but in case you forgot, it's a table made out of a walnut tree. It's around a hundred inches wide that can fit 6-8 people. It comes with matching chairs, which I can include in your purchase if you want. I am in my flat anytime on the weekends and every after 6 pm on the weekdays from today to August 10, and you can see it if you like. Though, even If you will not buy it, I think we should meet up before I go. Just let me know when you'll be coming. Looking forward to hearing from you! All the best, Jan

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
