Many children nowadays are not interested in learning history. Why is it the case? What are some ways to make children more interested in this subject?

Recently, there has been a clear decrease in children’s interest in studying
history
. In my opinion,
this
phenomenon is the result of various causes, which can be tackled by taking appropriate actions. There are many reasons contributing to the ongoing phenomenon that children are losing motivation to study
history
.
First
of all, one of the causes might be due to the characteristics of
history
itself.
History
classes tend to focus on the study of facts and events from the past, which may seem very dire and boring to most
students
.
In addition
, the teaching methods of forcing
students
to thoroughly memorize all the detailed information

students
.
Secondly
, another reason is the fact that the significance of
history
is greatly undervalued. Most children fail to see the practical values and benefits that
history
can bring, they regard
history
as a subsidiary subject, less important than the core ones
such
as Math or English. And because of that mindset, most of them decide to neglect the subject without ever knowing its importance. Fortunately, a number of solutions could be adopted in order to address the issue effectively.
Firstly
, teachers can try to change their manner of teaching, which can be approached by preparing the lessons to be more practical and interesting.
For example
, they could arrange short trips to the museum or historical sites in order to show the

, which can greatly boost their interest and motivation. Another viable solution is for teachers to help
students
be more aware of
history
’s importance and its

application.
For instance
, in the very
first
lesson, the teacher could present the younglings with a speech that not only captures the core essence of
history
but

. They should

can prove to be useful in everyday life. In conclusion, various measures can be taken to address the issues that are certain to arise as children are losing interest in studying
history
at a rapid rate.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
