Students are becoming more and more reliant on computers. What are some of the problems associated with reliance on computers, and what are some of the possible solutions?

Learners are proving to be over-dependent on technology,

 as the Internet and mobile phones.
This
 essay will discuss some of the major problems associated with addiction to computers and how
this
 situation can be alleviated. One of the crucial problems associated with over-reliance on computers and tablets is plagiarism. Clearly with the advance in technology and easy accessibility, students are more tempted in using search engines to answer a question and simply copy the text from a website, rather than using their own ideas and abilities.

, teachers often complain that
instead
 of applying their own ideas while doing the assignment, children just replicate the same transcript from the internet.
As a result
, children will not develop their intellectual ability and thinking skills.
In addition
 to that, another critical situation associated with addiction is the loss of eyesight. Continuous usage of electronic gadgets will affect the eyes very badly, due to the light emitted from the screen.
For instance
, a recent study conducted by the WHO tells that, 60% of children are using spectacles because of low eyesight which is caused due to the over-usage of electronic devices.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.
