Dear Sir, I, Kuljeet Kaur, writing

letter to you to express my regret to join my duty at the prescribed time. I want to inform you that I got appointed in

firm for the post of an Accountant and asked to join the duty by coming Monday on the 28th of August. I was very keen to start my new work,

however

, I am unable to join. Unfortunately, I met with an accident yesterday due to which I got a serious injury in my right leg. Physicians suggested complete bed rest for me for a while because I got a fracture in my leg.

Thus

, due to the above-mentioned reason, I am unable to start my new job by the prescribed time.

Therefore

, it would be really commendable if you could please allow my absence from the 28th of August. I will definitely start my duty after 10 days i.e on the 8th of September.
