There are different ideas about what should
students
learn at university, some believe they should study the subjects they are really interested in, while others think it is more reasonable to learn something that they will find useful later in life.
People
hold the view that it is easy to make progress when doing the things you are really fond of, there are two main reasons that can explain why.
First
,
students
are more likely to have better concentration when they are exposed to the things they like, compared with those they do not have any interest in. A relatively better engagement will make the progress more productive.
Second
, success lies in doing the thing constantly, which means you need to tackle all the problems and barriers in the process, so
people
are more willing to take responsibility for the things they have chosen themselves.
For example
, it is scientifically proven that almost 70% of the general public is willing to be responsible for their actions,
however
, 50% lower of
people
will do the same when it comes to others’ behaviour.
However
, some of us might argue that it is thoughtful for
students
to learn the courses that are beneficial for their future life. If they learn subjects that are closely related to science and technology they can possibly get a high-salary job after graduation.
That is
because we are living in a world
that is
fully dominated by science and technology.
For instance
, you will notice that almost 85% top 10 companies in the world are directly related to science or technology, and the average pay is higher than
people
in other fields. In my opinion, it is better to let
students
choose a limited number of lessons, which they will be able to explore their talents or interests, and
also
they are required to learn some major courses as well. That will not only satisfy the
students

also
their future employers.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.
