You have just read an article in a national newspaper which claims that town centres in your country all look very similar to each other. You don't fully agree with this opinion. Write a letter to the editor of the newspaper. In your letter * say which points in the article you agree with * explain ways in which your town centre is different from most other town centres * offer to give a guided tour of your town to the writer of the article

Dear Sir or Madam, I recently came across your article in a national newspaper about
town
centres in my country and how they all look alike. I am writing
this
letter to explain why I disagree with the aforementioned conclusion. The article highlighted the overall Venetian look of the building structures and the roads surrounding it, which I do agree with. Especially, my
town
Nordwil named after its founder Mountbatten Nordwil of Venetian origins. The outer architecture of the City Center and the leading roads are common to that of the country.
However
, the internal carvings and modern insides are strikingly different. Along therewith, the shops surrounding the central building, are of speciality goods of various countries from where the people of the
town
originally come.
For example
, spices shops from Arab countries, regal clothing from India, chocolates from Switzerland or Cafes from Paris. I would like to invite you to visit my
town
and would guide you to experience the vast cultures of the world and the many ways our
town
has its own uniqueness and individuality. Looking forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Jane Doe

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
