You have had a problem with your neighbor for the past few months. You have not been able to meet with your neighbor to discuss the problem. Write a letter to your neighbor. In your letter: Explain the problem Suggest a solution Say what action you will take if the situation does not improve
Dear Mr James,
I have noticed a couple of unpleasant activities perpetuated by your children
Tom
and Paul. Although
, I would have loved to discuss this
with you in person, both of us have missed each other at different times, probably due to alternating work cycles.
Tom
, has on a number of occasions been sighted by my wife trying to scale the perimeter fence into my compound. I find that kind of behaviour very sneaky. If Tom
needs anything on my premises, he ought to come in via the main entrance. Paul, on the other hand
, has been seen drinking alcohol right in front of my house and in plain view of my children. I believe he is attempting to lure them into the bad habit of alcoholism. This
too, I deeply frown at. While it is not in my place to tell your son how he will conduct himself in public, he ought to have some respect for other people.
I have had a chat with both Paul and Tom
regarding these unpleasant behaviours. If however
, they continue along this
path, I will have to inform the police and I am sure you know they will be arrested. As much as I would not want to create trouble for you, if you do not caution them, I will be forced to do the needful.
I hope you will be able to deal with this
situation internally before it escalates.
Sincerely yours,
