Nowadays it is not only large companies that can make films. Digital technology enables anyone to produce films. Do you think it is positive or negative development?

At present, we have seen a considerable rise in the number of
people
who are capable of making films or movies and it all boils down to technological advancement. While others think that it is a negative development, some
individuals
are of the opinion that
this
brings a positive impact on society. In my personal viewpoint, it is necessary to look into the pros and cons of both situations before forming an opinion. It is irrefutable that because of the upgrade in technology, a lot of
people
can now have the ability to make a
film
anytime and anywhere. In previous times, for a person to be able to record a video, he or she needs to have a video camera, high-technology devices and a laptop to edit the snaps. But now, smartphones can now be used as a dual tool: a video camera and an editing device at the same time since many filming applications can be installed or downloaded on phones.  On the one hand, I believe that
this
brings about useful and productive development for
individuals
. There are a lot of advantages that can be noted. Since
people
can shoot a
film
just by using their phones, they need not hire high-end editors, photographers or videographers and spend a huge amount of money paying for their professional fees. To add to it,
people
are able to
film
whatever they want at any time of the day because they have their gadgets with them wherever they go.
Individuals
who are talented in filming can
also
be discovered just by posting their videos and movies on YouTube or any other social media platform.
On the other hand
, the disadvantages cannot be ignored. Persons who have the ability to
film
may invade other
people
's privacy. They can take a snap of
people
without asking for their permission and it is alarming since some
individuals
do not like the idea of being filmed. On top of that, these skilled
people
can
also
make a movie
that is
not appropriate for certain age groups
such
as sex, drugs, and murder scenes. To sum things up, I pen down saying that, it is indeed that the capability of large companies to produce a movie brings positive development to the society and it can totally outweigh its drawbacks.
However
, we should know where to draw the line and take maximum advantage of
this
minimising its harmful effects.
