More and more qualified people are moving from poor to rich countries to fill vacancies in specialist areas like engineering, computing and medicine. Some people believe that by encouraging the movement of such people, rich countries are stealing from poor countries. Others feel that this is only part of the natural movement of workers around the world. Do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, skilful workers
such
as engineers, doctors and computer professionals
are trying to migrate from their native places to developed countries
. Some people
believe that this
issue is a normal situation and does not need to take any action. But other people
are quick to point out the fact that this
issue cannot be neglected and this
can lead to a brain drain situation. In this
essay ,I will explain this
argument in more detail in the following paragraphs.
On the one hand, some people
believe that looking for better opportunities in different countries
is their right. Obviously,some professionals
are migrating not only for the money but also
to obtain a better quality of living such
as free health care and education systems for their families. For example
, one of the surveys from the United Nations shows that most young doctors from India are willing to move to the United State due to the advantages of the social security system. In addition
to this
, people
can understand multi-cultural communities and sharing knowledge can improve human society.
On the other hand
, other people
believe that moving to rich countries
can lead to a lack of important human resources for that particular country. For instance
, most of the technologies technological companies such
as Google, Facebook and Amazon from the United States are hiring Indian and Chinese IT technicians. As a result
, the most creative products cannot be developed and produced in third
-world countries
. If the least developed countries
cannot attract young professionals
in the next
few years, then
they will suffer a shortage of these professionals
in their respective areas soon.
To summarize ,the issue of people
migration has both advantages and disadvantages as I mentioned earlier. In my opinion, we should conclude how people
