Dear Mr Rathod. I am Pritesh Rathod, I work as a Senior Analyst in the Vadodara branch of CNX limited. I am writing
this
letter to inform you about a training course which caught my eye in the local newspaper a few weeks back. It's a seminar cum training course for Public Speaking by Dr Shubham Shah. I would like to enrol in it, with your due permission. It's a 3-day intensive training program in Taj residence, Mumbai. The registration fee for the course is $150. There will be training for public speaking on the
first
2 days of the classes which will be followed by a seminar on the
last
day.
Besides
that,There are many renowned public speakers who are going to give a speech including Dr Shah. All and all program gives some help as well as practical tips and tricks to get rid of the fear of public speaking and boost your confidence on stage.
Hence
,It would be very much appreciated, if the company can relieve me from my responsibility for those 3 days as well as reimburse me for the registration fees. As a senior analyst, I am accountable to manage a team of 25 people in my branch. On some occasions, I am supposed to give some sort of speech to boost the morale of my employees and motivate them when they are down.
Although
my lack of confidence in speaking, refrain me from doing that.
Therefore
,
this
3 days program will surely gain my confidence on stage and going to assist me in managing my team in an effective manner. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Yours sincerely, Pritesh Rathod.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
