In their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasise that their products are new in some way. Why is this? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Nowadays, more and more businesses and companies are trying to prove that their
products
are bringing something new to consumers' life and are different from other
products
. In
this
essay, I will bring two reasons for
this
phenomenon as well as explain why I believe it is negative progress in general.
To begin
with the causes for
this
method of advertising,
first
of all, since yearning for testing new and improved materials in their
way
of living is the nature of individuals in order to ameliorate the quality of their life, the advertising organisations mostly offer new stuff for the purpose of getting the attention of customers.
Secondly
, businesses are constantly struggling in the competitive environment among businesses providing the same product so they prefer to find an effective
way
to be a step ahead of others for attracting more consumers in their advertising plan. Obviously, publicising new and unknown
products
has its own benefits and drawbacks
although
generally speaking, it is mainly a negative enhancement for an underlying reason. These kinds of propaganda are advertising new things mostly using a lie in which some attractive slogans and tag lines are used leading to
people
being fooled by them.
Hence
, some companies use
this
way
to reach their sale objective at any price without considering the buyer's satisfaction.
For example
, recently I bought lipstick through an advertising site whose slogan was that its colour lasts for 72 hours on your lips, but the reality was totally different and it just remained for 2 hours. All in all, they use the method of soft selling and are able to deceive and persuade some
people
to buy their pieces of stuff which are mostly of poor quality. In a nutshell, these advertising plans are organised to stimulate
people
to purchase their
products
in some tempting and misleading
way
, because of the fact that
people
have the desire for new services
hence
, I think it is not a positive development from an overall perspective.
