The two bar charts indicate information regarding the number of married and divorced

 of 30 years in America and the proportion in terms of the status of never married, married, widowed and divorced. It is noticeable that the figure for the number of marriages in the USA decreased gradually over the

 from 1970 to 2000, which dropped from 2.5

. Meanwhile, no matter 1970 or 2000, the percentage of married Americans is obviously high than that of
