‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

The graph depicts the energy consumption by fuel in the USA from 1980 and its predictions until 2030. In addition, the graph also shows six types of energy consumption by fuels, those are petrol and oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear, solar or wind, and hydropower. One interesting thing is the usage of the fuels will not decrease in number in the slightest bit until the year 2030, except for hydropower, which was predicted to be stagnant until 2030.
