Dear Mr Smith I am your former student and I was in your ECE curriculum class. I am writing
this
letter to ask you for help if you could write a reference letter for me for my new job.
Moreover
, after graduating, I applied for the RECE position at the childcare near my house.
Furthermore
, being an ECE educator was always my dream to assist and nurture children with love and support.
In addition
, I worked really dedicatedly to complete my academic and placement work.
Besides
, to achieve good grades in the finals I always finished written assignments on time. I would really appreciate it if you can understand my situation and fill out the reference form which I have attached to
this
letter at your earliest convenience. I am
also
available to interview. Thank you I look forward to hearing from you Best Regards Yours Sincerely Sandeep Kaur

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
