Dear Abi and Bran, How are you? I hope all is well. I just received the photos you sent. The photos were amazing! Staring back at them made me miss you even more. It was indeed a wonderful experience to spend the holidays with you. Anyways, I want to thank you both for the photos and for letting me stay at your
place
. I really had a great
time
.
Time
flew too fast but thankfully we were able to use it well. I'm sorry I was not able to write back the soonest because I was so swamped with work the moment I came back to the office. It was like back to reality again! I wish I could extend the holidays and not be dragged into my daily boring routine. And since we already spend the holidays at your
place
,
this
time
why not here at my
place
? Summer holiday is just around the corner and
this
time
of the year is great for outdoor activities. We have a great trekking
place
and we can visit the temple ruins here in Cambodia. Don't worry about your accommodation. Both of you can stay at my house. I have a vacant room which you can use. Write back soon and let me know if the plan suits you! Warm regards, Alex

Use cohesive linking words accurately and appropriately

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

Linking word examples:

  • firstly
  • secondly
  • thirdly
  • in additional
  • moreover
  • also
  • for example
  • for instance
  • therefore
  • however
