You have borrowed something from your friend and it got damaged. Write a letter to your friend. apologise for the damage to the item explain what happened say how you are going to fix the issue

Dear Simon, I hope you keeping well. I am writing
this
letter because I wanted to let you know something happened a couple of days ago. Nothing vital but I'm embarrassed at least. As a matter of fact, I crashed the bike I borrowed from you
last
month. I was on the way home when a car suddenly crossed the road and I couldn't avoid it. No worries, I'm fine but I cannot pretend the same for your belonging. Against all odds, the front wheel has been damaged
as well as
your favourite little horn. I am so confused actually, and so I already brought the bicycle to the shop next door for repair. The technician said that It should take around a fortnight to be fixed and it should look brand new. Plus, as I take responsibility, the bill coming will be on me.I wish you will not be upset reading the news. Regards, Sebastien, your roommate
