Being a celebrity - such as a famous film star or sports personality - brings problems as well as benefits. Do you think that being a celebrity brings more benefits or more problems?

Many people think that being a famous person
such
as a singer and actor not only has a lot of benefits but
also
problems as consequences of their popularity. Being a
celebrity
provides not only advantages but
also
disadvantages. First and foremost, it is well known that
celebrities
have a lot of chances to earn more money, so they could buy luxury things and access special facilities which are not easy for ordinary people. Taking an example,
celebrities
having a lot of money make them possible to afford a first-class seat on their flight which offers excellent service and facilities for convenience.
Secondly
, the fame of
celebrities
could be useful for them to promote good
values
in society. It is easy for the popular person to create a movement because of their networking skill. We can see an example of a famous American actress namely Angelina Jolie who become a peace ambassador for the United Nations to promote peace
values
,especially in conflicted areas
such
as Africa. She is appointed by the UN because everyone knows her so it will be easier to spread the
values
.
In contrast
, something should be sacrificed for
celebrity
popularity. It might be true that being a
celebrity
means that we are ready to be exposed by journalists and paparazzi whenever and wherever we are. It is often found that
celebrities
have no private life so they feel overwhelmed by social pressure which controls their behaviour. It leads
celebrities
to suffer psychological problems and drug addiction because they do not know how to deal with the stress. Taking everything into consideration, I do believe that being a
celebrity
provides more positives than negatives. The positives are the easiness of accessing high-end facilities and networking to promote good
values
in society.
