The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two pictures depict the outline and layouts for Southwest
Airport
, both in its current state and planned blueprint, revealing several notable changes that are expected to take place. Looking from an
overall
perspective, it is readily apparent that the number of gates increased sharply in the coming years, which is located in the northern part of the
airport
. Simultaneously, the current layout of the
airport
has a cylindrical shape, and it will be changed to a “Y” shape after reconstruction, with two corridors.
Besides
, the walkway will be replaced by a speedy sky train.
Furthermore
, commercial areas like shops will be added on the north side of the security and passport control. In terms of details, the check-in location will be replaced by the newly-built bag drop, and a cafe will be added to the departure site.
Then
we can find that an ATM and a new cafe will be built in the arrival section. At the same time, a car hire service will be made available to passengers. Another significant change is the design of entrance doors in departures and arrivals sections which will double the number of doors. In conclusion, the redevelopment of Southwest
Airport
will result in a more functional, modernized and improved facility in the future
