perspective it is readily apparent that the population rose dramatically over the period

while

death and

births

rate declined following the peak in 1800 and

both

demographics show a similar trend for the given course,but death

rates

were lower than birth

rates

at any given period of time. In terms of population, in 1700 it was around 10 million and rose dramatically to a peak of just below 40 million in 1900 before hitting a high of nearly 50 million in the next century. With regards to birth and death

rates

,followed a more or less similar pattern.

Although

started at a low level in 1700 ( birth - just below 10 and

deaths

just above 5) plunged to a level of more than 20 per 1000 and above 15 per 1000 in 1800 before being dropped to nearly 10 and above 5 respectively during 1900.In 2000

figures declined
