The maps describe the layout of Norbiton’s manufacturing site and its upcoming proposed development. The
overall
purpose of
this
project is to transform the industrial area into residential and complementary public facilities. The appearance of the site is planned to change tremendously. Looking into the master plan, the most notable transformation is the area will be equipped with more access and will be connected to northern Norbiton across the river,
as well as
the transformation of the plant into housing and facilities. In the south of Norbiton, it is planned to build a new smaller roundabout to manage the traffic. Meanwhile, a central roundabout will remain with two new boulevards to the north and to the northwestern. All of its surrounding factories will be demolished and become new housing and shops in the western zone, and a medical centre in the southeastern of the central roundabout. The northern boulevard will be constructed to cross the river, connecting to a new residential area as a replacement for today’s farmland. In the future, the farmland will move to the east side of its current location. Turning into the east zone planning, all factories are going to remove and will be substituted by residential buildings and several infrastructures. Following the existing road on the eastern, the school will build on the easternmost border.
In addition
, there will be a playground to build just across the new location of farmland.
