The diagram below shows the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram depicts the life cycle of
salmon
in the natural environment.
Overall
, it can be seen that there are three primary stages in the progress of a circle of salmon
life. Commencing with the form of eggs
then
transforming to a complete adult fish and finalizing as laying eggs
.
In the first stage, salmon
eggs
are laid under the reeds and camouflaged as small stones to prevent hunters. After hatching successfully, the next step is
that the eggs
become fries size 3-8 centimetres. After that, they will move to the lower river where have a fast-flowing school of fish, they will survive here for approximately 4 years before becoming smolts. In the second stage ,the length of salmon
reaches between 12 to 15 centimetres.
During the period in
smolts' growth, they continue their lives at the giant sea and will spend theirs in around 5 years. Without any kill, they will transform into full-growth Change preposition
of
salmon
which can target a maximum size of 76 centimetres. The following step is
that they have a reproductional responsibility to achieve. A couple of fishes move up to the upper river and then
lay eggs
under the reeds and try to hide them with stones. It makes sure the eggs
survived as long as possible before the new life cycle of salmon
happens again.Submitted by Hoang Nguyen on
