The graphs below show the development of Brindell from 1800 to 2000. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The three maps illustrate the major changes that Brindell and its neighbouring areas have undergone in two centuries.
Overall
, the given place was transformed from an agricultural town to an area with versatile functions. The most obvious developments can be seen in woodland and the farmland used for grazing herds.
In 1800, Brindell was situated in the southwest of the shown place and the whole region consisted of a piece of woodland and two farmlands that were separated by River Stour. In terms of those two agricultural zones, one to the north was for growing crops and the other to the east was an area of pasture. Over the next 100 years, however
, the district witnessed several changes. It was apparent the entire grazing area was converted into an industrial estate, with a village named Bun Hill constructed in the south. That village was mainly for workers to dwell in.
When it came to 2000, more development could be observed. Compared with the layout of this
district in the last
century, Brindell almost doubled in size, while
the forest and grazing lands shrank, due to
the construction of Bun Hill Park. In addition
, Bun Hill expanded largely and more industrial factories were built towards the east of the village.Submitted by Evalynn on
