A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

However, it not only lowers the literacy rate of the society but there are also several disadvantages.

Others, however, argue that the circumstances of individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Fixing punishments for each type of crime has been a debatable issue. There are many arguments supporting both views, those for and those against fixed punishments. This essay will analyze both sides of the argument, furthermore, I am personally inclined to the latter view that suggests considering the circumstances of crime while sentencing someone.
