Many people think that scared pupils from teachers are better than if they have a friendly
relationship
with them,
while
others believe the opposite. I find particularly smart those relationships built by teachers based on affection. Absolutely nothing good can happen from fear, especially if we are talking about children. If a student is afraid of the professor,
this
means that he would not be himself in front of the teacher.
For example
, if there is any doubt, the student will probably avoid asking any questions just because he may be ashamed or scared of what the teacher could say about it. A frightened classroom may be quiet and even "respectful", but it will not be honest and no success will be possible.
Nevertheless
, if the
relationship
is based on kindness, empathy and love,
this
will guarantee all the students can learn in a safe and honest space, where they trust and feel confident with their teachers.
For instance
, in the same case where a pupil wants to ask any question to the professor, the kid not only will do it but
also
will express himself with all his thoughts and doubts freely. In
this
kind of
relationship
, the learner will understand that he is supported by his teacher and
that is
all that a student needs. In conclusion, I strongly agree with a trust-love-based
relationship
where the pupils learn with confidence enjoying the process. If the main goal is to help them to improve their intellectual and social skills,
then
there is no doubt that having a friendly
relationship
with them is the only way to make it possible.
