The manufacturing process for making sugar from sugarcane

The diagram explains the way in which
sugar

sugarcane
.
Overall
the process contains seven stages, beginning with the growing of
sugarcane
and ending up with drying and cooling down the
sugar
crystals. First of all,
sugarcane
has been grown. It takes around 12-18 months to grow. After that, the farmer starts cutting down the
sugarcane
by using the procedure of harvesting. The cut
sugarcane
is
then
transferred to a machine where it comes out in the form of juice.
Next,
the juice is put through a limestone filter to purify it. In the next stage, the purified juice has been heated to make syrup out of it.
Following
this
, by using the centrifuge method the
sugar
crystals get separated from the
sugar
syrup. After that, the
sugar
crystals are kept to get dry and cool.
Finally
, the
sugar
is ready for use.
