The pie charts illustrate the primary reasons behind teenagers' phone usage in one African country from 2016 to 2019.
Although
a slight decline in 2017, social media usage was by far the major cause of why young people use their mobile phones. In 2019 it end up with a 6% rise when compared to 2016. Meanwhile, phone calls were the least popular reason for teenagers to use their phones, with ratios around 10% over the years. As the usage of social networks increased, the proportion of teenagers mostly using their phones for digital cameras

grew gradually. In 2016,

figure was at 15% and remained stable in the following year.

, was declining consistently throughout the years. It used to be the second highest primary reason in 2016, which accounted for 25% of the total youngsters, decreasing dramatically to only 19% in 2019.
