Now a day the surveillance is happening at almost all public places. Is it good or perceived bad by people? What are advantages and disadvantages?

The rate of crimes in the world is increasing on a daily basis in which the safety of the
people
is at stake. In my opinion, the presence of CCTV in our environment reduces crime rates, and I will illustrate the pros and cons of surveillance with a few examples.
To begin
with, it's recorded that the average of crimes committed in any city around the globe is about 70

yearly. Having surveillance in every neighbourhood protects
people
's lives and assets. The cops can't be everywhere but the CCTV can! and
this
will help the authorities do their job in an easy way.
Also
at the end
of every business hour, the surveillance keeps working which lifts any form of fear in the mind of business owners.
On the other hand
, some
people
believe
this
is a bad idea or see
this
initiative as an unacceptable practice.
This
can
also
affect
people
's freedom in one way or the other
