These days, in many countries, fewer and fewer people want to become teacher, particularly in secondary schools. What are the reasons for this, and how could the problem be solved?

Nowadays,
teachers
 play a very important role in everyone’s life. They teach us knowledge and life principles.
However
, many countries face problems with teacher shortages, especially in secondary schools. I will discuss
this
 issue and provide some solutions in the below paragraph. There are many reasons that can cause fewer and fewer
people
 to want to become a teacher.
Firstly
,
teachers
 are not paid reasonably for what they do. Many of them need to prepare the class contents in their own time. Compared with other jobs,
teachers
 do not get bonuses or shares. They usually receive low salaries but have high responsibilities.
Hence
, if we want more
people
 to choose teaching as their career, we need to increase their salaries and give them additional time to prepare for their classes.
Secondly
, as compared to the past, students these days do not respect their
teachers
. Many teenagers have behaviour issues and do not listen to their
teachers
’ advice. Some students even hurt or bully their
teachers
. These will significantly decrease the desire for
people
 to pursue
this
 career. If we want to change
this
 situation, we need parents to work with schools. Parents should educate their children to respect their
teachers
.
Furthermore
, parents
also
 need to understand the limits of
teachers
. They
also
 need to be actively involved with the education of their children. In conclusion, teaching is an important job. We need more
people
 to join
this
 job willingly and with passion. Possible solutions are to raise their pay and for the general society to encourage students to respect their
teachers
