As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an important element of individual wellbeing. What factors contribute to job satisfaction?. How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all workers?

Every person who is working for his/her living has to spend at least 8 hours a day at
work
. So it is vital for them to be satisfied with their job. If not, it would be really stressful for everyone to stay at
work
for the whole day. Lots of components can enhance
employees
satisfaction
and some of them are mentioned below. The main intention for
people
who are working is to earn money for their living. That’s why competitive salaries can enhance
employees
’ motivation which means the higher salary
employees
earn, the higher
satisfaction
they get at
work
.
Thus
, some
companies
give monetary rewards to those who have high performance in order to satisfy them so that they can maintain their qualities.
Moreover
, some
people
prefer to have a warm and supportive working environment to be happy at
work
. Since workers spend the whole day at
work
, the working atmosphere is very crucial for them. Every person would be dissatisfied if he/she has to
work
with
people
who are pessimistic, jealous and narrow-minded. So
people
desire to have helpful, broad-minded and optimistic co-workers and superiors in order to feel flexible at
work
. Even though job
satisfaction
is vital to every worker, it is impossible to satisfy every worker. The expectations of some
employees
are unrealistic,
for example
, they expect higher salaries than their
companies
can offer. Nowadays most
companies
are suffering from recession and they are trying not to be insolvent so they have to control their budgets and cannot offer the salary that their
employees
expect. But for the
employees
, they are suffering from inflation and they need to earn more money for their living and they feel dissatisfied whenever their
companies
cannot offer handsome salaries.
This
becomes one of the reasons for
employees
’ dissatisfaction. It is assumed that
satisfaction
can enhance the productivity, motivation and happiness of every staff member. The more peace of mind
employees
get, the higher performance they can contribute to their
companies
. So it is a win-win situation for
companies
to give fulfilment to their workers as much as they can.
