Overall
, the majority of greenery and houses were demolished to make way for commercial and residential buildings throughout the 25-year duration. A new stadium and car parking lots were constructed on the top right-hand corner of the area.
In addition
, most trees around the central part were chopped down to build a park. To the southwest across the river bank, houses and trees near a school were replaced by warehouses. There was
also
a significant development regarding housing, with skyscrapers being erected after the removal of landed houses. The extension of the railway can be observed obviously in 2005 as the railway was extended up to the end of the northern area, next to the newly built stadium.
